AliExpress has officially stopped offering several low-cost shipping methods to Pakistan after Pakistani and Sri Lankan authorities imposed new customs tax reforms.
This regulatory move blocks Pakistani consumers from accessing popular and economical cross-border delivery services, such as AliExpress Standard Shipping and Cainiao, which they widely used to buy electronics, accessories, and household goods at minimal shipping costs.
In a notice to sellers, AliExpress announced that starting July 7, 2025, it will process logistics routes to Pakistan and Sri Lanka offline. The platform informed sellers that they will no longer be able to choose the previously available budget shipping options when processing orders or declaring shipments to Pakistan.
The platform cited “unclear tax policies” as the main reason for the suspension. Although authorities have not publicly disclosed specific details about the customs changes, the disruption has already begun impacting Pakistan’s e-commerce sector.

AliExpress has urged its sellers to monitor developments closely and update their shipping templates to comply with the new restrictions. The platform has not provided a timeline for when—or if—it will restore the suspended logistics routes to Pakistan.
