Senior actress Samina Ahmed recalled the time when she took the surprising decision to marry at an advanced age, revealing that her children were taken aback by the news.

In an interview with Maliha Rehman, she recounted how her children reacted, saying, "What happened to Amma?" after she informed them about her marriage.

Samina explained that tying the knot ended her loneliness, especially since her children live abroad. She expressed a newfound sense of companionship, stating, "I feel like there is someone waiting for me when I go back to my empty house."

She emphasized that both she and her husband, Manzar Sehbai, have become each other's support system since their wedding.

The couple married simply during the COVID-19 lockdown in April 2020, which surprised many. Samina recalled how Manzar proposed to her after a day of shooting, saying he wanted to marry her. Although they had played husband and wife in dramas before, she had never considered a real-life marriage with him.

When she shared the news of their marriage with her children, they were shocked but supportive. Samina acknowledged that Manzar's family likely felt similarly surprised but never asked her about it.
