Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif affirmed that the government of Pakistan is determined to make the lives of people more convenient.
On the occasion of International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, the Prime Minister said in his message that together with the international community, we are committed to a world where everyone has equal opportunities for success.
He said that eliminating poverty is not only a moral duty; it is the basic condition for achieving sustainable development and ensuring peace and prosperity for all.
Shahbaz Sharif said, "The welfare of the people is the focus of every policy of our government. The government has made significant progress in ensuring the eradication of poverty through its social safety net initiatives.
The Prime Minister stated that solid measures to economically empower people are essential for lifting them out of poverty. He further added that Our efforts aim to empower communities, especially women and children, by providing them with the resources needed to build a better future.
He noted that we are facing global challenges, including inflation and economic uncertainty, and the Government of Pakistan is committed to making life easier for its people.
Shahbaz Sharif mentioned that we are working on policies to ensure long-term economic development, from ensuring food security to meeting housing needs. The PM noted that initiatives are changing lives by providing financial and technical assistance to millions of families.
He emphasized that the eradication of poverty is also a top priority in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and Pakistan is fully committed to this. Shehbaz Sharif added that we will continue to cooperate with our global partners to work towards comprehensive development, education, healthcare, and environmental sustainability.
The Prime Minister expressed pride in the progress made in empowering women, stating that women's participation is crucial for national development. He paid tribute to those tirelessly working towards poverty alleviation.
Shahbaz Sharif further stated that by coming together with a shared purpose and determination, we can create a future where everyone has the opportunity to thrive and succeed.
