More monsoon rains are forecasted for Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and other parts of Pakistan on Tuesday night and Wednesday, with occasional breaks.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea are influencing the upper and central regions of Pakistan, while a westerly wave is affecting the northern parts of the country.
These conditions are expected to bring further intermittent monsoon rains to Islamabad, Rawalpindi, upper Punjab, the Potohar region, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and northeastern Balochistan on Tuesday night and Wednesday. Isolated heavy downpours may also occur in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northeastern Punjab, and the Potohar region during this period.
The maximum temperature in Islamabad is likely to range between 31-33°C on Wednesday and Thursday, while in Rawalpindi, it is expected to stay between 31-33°C as well. Over the past 24 hours, rain has been reported in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Balochistan, and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Nokkundi was the hottest location in the country, with a maximum temperature of 44°C. Dalbandin recorded a high of 42°C, while Sibbi reached 40°C.
In Islamabad, the maximum temperature was 32°C, with relative humidity at 67 percent in the evening.
Rawalpindi also had a maximum temperature of 32°C, but the relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 50 percent.
