Isolated rain-wind/thunderstorms are forecasted for Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and parts of Pakistan on Monday night and Tuesday, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD). Light to moderate monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal are penetrating the upper and central parts of Pakistan, with a westerly wave expected to affect the upper regions from July 11.
Under these conditions, isolated rain-wind/thunderstorms are anticipated in the twin cities, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, north/southeastern Balochistan, south Punjab, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan on Monday night. Heavy rains may cause flooding in low-lying areas of lower Sindh and lower Balochistan.
On Tuesday, most parts of the country are expected to experience hot and humid weather. However, isolated rain-wind/thunderstorms are predicted for the twin cities, Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, southeastern Sindh, north/southeastern Balochistan, south Punjab, and Gilgit-Baltistan, with heavy rains potentially causing flooding in low-lying areas of lower Balochistan.
Islamabad’s maximum temperature is expected to range between 35-37°C on Tuesday and 36-38°C on Wednesday. Rawalpindi’s maximum temperature is expected to range between 36-38°C on Tuesday and 37-39°C on Wednesday.
In the past 24 hours, rain-wind/thunderstorms occurred in isolated areas of southeast Sindh, including Karachi, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Turbat remained the hottest place in the country where the maximum temperature was recorded at 45°C. Maximum temperature in Jacobabad was recorded 44°C, Nokkundi and Dalbandin at 43°C, Sinbbi, Rohri, Mithi and Mohenjo-Daro at 42°C.
In Islamabad, maximum temperature was recorded at 38°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 46 percent.
In Rawalpindi, maximum temperature was recorded at 37°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 37 percent.
