Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and various parts of Pakistan are expected to experience intermittent rain, wind, and thunderstorms from Thursday night through Saturday, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
Monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal are affecting the upper and central regions of Pakistan, alongside a westerly wave expected to impact the upper parts of the country starting tonight.
Under these conditions, intermittent rain, wind, and thunderstorms are forecasted in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and isolated areas of upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northeast Punjab, the Pothohar region, Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, and northeast Balochistan on Thursday night. Similar weather is expected on Friday and Saturday in these regions.
In Islamabad, maximum temperatures are predicted to range between 33-35°C on Friday and 32-34°C on Saturday. In Rawalpindi, temperatures are expected to range between 34-36°C on both Friday and Saturday.
Over the past 24 hours, most parts of the country experienced hot and humid weather. However, there were rain, wind, and thundershowers in northeast Punjab, the Pothohar region, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northeast Balochistan, and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Dadu and Sibbi remained the hottest places in the country where the maximum temperature was recorded at 47°C. Maximum temperature in Jacobabad was recorded at 46°C, and Dalbandin at 45°C.
In Islamabad, maximum temperature was recorded at 34°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 78 percent.
In Rawalpindi, maximum temperature was recorded at 33°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 63 percent.
