Veteran Pakistani actor Mohsin Gillani recently became emotional during an interview as he made significant revelations about the personal lives of the late actress Ayesha Khan and fellow actor Firdous Jamal. Gillani expressed his heartfelt views on various matters during his guest appearance.
During the interview, Gillani became visibly emotional when discussing Ayesha Khan and Firdous Jamal. He stated that at the time of Ayesha Khan's passing, there were many speculations on social media regarding her and her children, but he chose to remain silent.
Similarly, he lamented that Firdous Jamal's sons said things about their father that should not have been aired publicly.
Mohsin Gillani shared that a friend had sent him a voice note in which Ayesha Khan mentioned that her children sent her money. He noted that Ayesha Khan preferred to live alone, and her children had also become busy with their own lives. He questioned how the children of a talented artist like Firdous Jamal could become estranged from him.
According to Mohsin Gillani, the personal affairs between Firdous Jamal and his sons should not have been publicized. "It deeply saddened me when his son came on an interview and said, 'We bore the expenses of our father's hospital. If anyone doesn't believe us, we have the hospital bills; they can check,'" Gillani recounted emotionally.
He stressed that when parents age, they don't seek their children's money but rather their time. He then posed a poignant question: "Do parents in their old age only need money?"
Mohsin Gillani highlighted Ayesha Khan's dedication as a mother, stating, "I know how Ayesha Khan raised her children through such difficult circumstances. Is it not their responsibility to take care of a parent who struggled so much to raise them?" He advised such parents, especially mothers with similar experiences, to be patient and pray for their children, as "mothers can only offer prayers."
He recalled a particular drama where he and Nazli Nasr played a married couple, and Ayesha Khan portrayed his mother. He mentioned that Ayesha Khan used to call Nazli Nasr her daughter, and Nazli would greatly serve her on set. Gillani shared, "Nazli Nasr, whom Ayesha Khan considered her daughter, would help her get dressed and even massage her feet. Ayesha Khan used to tell me, 'Now you are my witness that when I am alone, I will go to Nazli Nasr.'"
During the interview, Gillani also criticized young actresses who perceive the showbiz industry as unsafe for women. The veteran actor stated that some actresses, who are young and have only been in the industry for three to four years, claim it's unsafe for women.
Mohsin Gillani firmly added that if these women feel the industry is unsafe, they should first leave it. "What are they doing here?" he questioned.
