LAHORE: Judicial Magistrate Shakargarh has been formally charged senior politician Daniyal Aziz for threatening the police and violating Section 144.

Daniyal Aziz has denied the health crime and demanded a transparent trial.
It should be remembered that in the general elections of February 8, 2024, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) had not issued a ticket to Daniyal Aziz, on which he had announced to contest the election as an independent.
Daniyal Aziz had contested as an independent from National Assembly Constituency NA-75 Narowal and the Election Commission of Pakistan had also issued a notice to Daniyal Aziz for violating the code of conduct.

Earlier, Independent candidate and former federal minister Daniyal Aziz was arrested from National Assembly Constituency NA-75.
Daniyal Aziz’s wife Mahnaz Akbar Aziz said that a heavy contingent of police arrested Daniyal Aziz from Shakargh.
