Khawaja Asif hints at PPP joining federal and Punjab govt

ISLAMABAD: Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has hinted at the possible inclusion of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) in both the federal and Punjab governments.

Khawaja Asif stated, "I can't reveal what's currently happening, but there is a possibility that PPP may join the government."

He added that PPP's inclusion would be a positive development, although he admitted that he is not aware of the details of any ongoing negotiations between the government and the PPP.

Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said that joining the PPP government would be a good thing, though they did not know the details of the government's contacts with the PPP.

He said that the PPP and the PML -N could work together on the national agenda.
