When Dylan Reid Ewing revealed his struggles with plastic surgery to look like Brad Pitt

  • He had his first cosmetic surgery at 19 and believed he would look like Brad Pitt.
  • After the surgery, he spent two weeks hiding and wearing a full facial mask.
  • He then underwent more surgeries with two other surgeons.
The rise in plastic surgeries has become common these days, with many celebrities candidly sharing their experiences. Actor Reid Ewing, best known for his role in "Modern Family", opened up about his addiction to going under the knife.

While discussing it, the actor wrote in the Huffington Post’s blog that he made his first appointment with a cosmetic surgeon at the age of 19. He shared, “I genuinely believed that after one procedure, I would suddenly look like Brad Pitt.”

The performer stated that after his surgery, he spent two weeks hiding from everyone while wearing a full facial mask. When he finally took off the mask, he shared that the results were not what he had expected.

Reid mentioned the swelling in his face and said there was no way he could make any "excuse" for it. He revealed his plan to hide in his Los Angeles apartment for another week until the "swelling was less dramatic."

In a panic, the performer returned to his original doctor, hoping to undergo another procedure, but the surgeon refused to operate on him for another six months.

He then went to another surgeon, fully aware that the doctor was less qualified, but he didn't care. The surgery did not turn out well. Reid mentioned, “Only a few days later, I noticed I could move the chin implant under my skin, easily shifting it from one side of my face to the other,” which led him to undergo the procedure again.

He shared that over the next two years, he underwent more surgeries with two other surgeons, and each procedure created a new issue that required fixing with another surgery.

In 2012, Reid reportedly decided never to go under the knife again, despite still having insecurities about his looks.

The actor shared, “Plastic surgery is not always a bad thing. It often helps people who need it for serious cases, but it’s a horrible hobby, and it will eat away at you until you have lost all self-esteem and joy. “

He expressed wishing he could go back in time and “undo all the surgeries.” He added, "Now I can see that I was fine to begin with and didn’t need the surgeries after all."
