ISLAMABAD – Rains and gusty winds are expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and various parts of Pakistan on Friday night and Saturday.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), weak monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea are penetrating the upper and central regions of Pakistan.
Under these conditions, rains and gusty winds are anticipated in the twin cities, as well as in isolated locations in Kashmir, northeastern Punjab, the Pothohar Region, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and northeast Balochistan on Friday night and Saturday.
Islamabad’s maximum temperature is expected to range between 37-39°C on Saturday and 36-38°C on Sunday.
Rawalpindi’s maximum temperature is expected to range between 35-37°C on Saturday and 36-38°C on Sunday.
Meanwhile, hot and humid weather prevailed in most parts of the country over the last 24 hours. However, rain and thunderstorms occurred in isolated places in Islamabad, the Pothohar region, Northeast Punjab, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Kashmir.

Dalbandin was the hottest place in the country, with a maximum temperature of 46°C. Jacobabad and Chilas recorded maximum temperatures of 45°C, and Sibbi recorded 44°C.
In Islamabad, the maximum temperature was recorded at 37°C with evening relative humidity at 96 percent.
In Rawalpindi, the maximum temperature was recorded at 35°C with evening relative humidity at 78 percent.
