Pakistan played a significant and effective role in building strong diplomatic relations during US President Donald Trump’s tenure, according to reliable sources.
Sources say President Trump developed strong personal chemistry with Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Defence Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir, leading to multiple invitations for both leaders to visit the White House.
One of Pakistan’s major diplomatic achievements included timely cooperation in the arrest of the mastermind behind the Kabul bombing, which helped strengthen President Trump’s trust in Pakistan.
Investment also expanded in key sectors such as cryptocurrency and critical minerals. A major development was a $500 million critical minerals agreement between Pakistan’s FWO and a US-based company, along with increased partnership between the Pakistan Crypto Council and World Liberty Financial.
According to sources, President Trump maintained a tough stance toward India due to issues such as tariffs, Russian oil imports, and rising Pakistan-India tensions.
Pakistan openly credited Trump for the ceasefire achieved in May, while India rejected this claim. This shift softened the American narrative in Pakistan’s favor.
