KARACHI: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast hot and humid weather in Karachi today, with a possibility of rainfall in the city’s outskirts.

According to the Met Office, temperatures in the city may rise up to 38°C, while high humidity levels will make it feel like over 40°C.

Humidity is currently recorded at 70%, with winds blowing from the west at a speed of 7 kilometers per hour, the department added.

Previously, the Meteorological Department had given positive news, stating that the pre-monsoon session was possibly expected to start from the last week of June, extending from Karachi to Kashmir.

On the other hand, rain is likely at a few places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Northeast Punjab, the Potohar Region, Islamabad, Kashmir, and Gilgit Baltistan, accompanied by wind and thunder. There may also be hail in some places during this time.
