Tiger Shroff's death threat is false, police take action against culprit

  • Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff was falsely accused of a death threat by Punjabi man Manish Kumar Sujinder Singh.
  • Singh claimed he had received a weapon and a contract for the same amount to carry out the murder.
  • The police arrested Singh, stating the false information was a hoax.
Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff made headlines after a report of a death threat against him went viral. However, a recent report confirmed that the threat was false, and the police have arrested the man who spread the fake news.

According to a report in the Free Press Journal, Manish Kumar Sujinder Singh, a Punjabi resident, provided false information to the Mumbai Police control room about a supposed death threat to Tiger Shroff. On Monday (April 21), he called the control room and alleged that several people from a security company were planning to kill the actor.

The man further claimed that someone had paid Rs 2 lakh to kill the actor. He also added that he had received a weapon and a contract for the same amount to carry out the murder. As soon as he alerted the Mumbai Police, authorities swiftly activated the security apparatus. However, they soon discovered that the information he provided was false.

Per the same portal, Deputy Commissioner of police, Nimit Goyal, said, "The police had filed an FIR on Monday. The team has apprehended the accused. It was a complete hoax, as the story on verification was completely false. The accused is coming with the team."

The Khar Police have registered a case against Manish for allegedly spreading false information. They filed the case under sections 212 (furnishing false information), 217 (giving false information with intent to cause a public servant to misuse lawful power to injure another person), and 353(2) (statements causing public mischief) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

Meanwhile, authorities are conducting further investigations into the false death threat case against Tiger Shroff.

On the work front, Tiger Shroff will star in Baaghi 4, where he will appear alongside Sanjay Dutt in the fourth installment. Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment presents the film, which A. Harsha directs. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Baaghi 4 will hit theaters on September 5, 2025.
