Another major deal has taken place in Pakistan as AsiaPak Investments has acquired Lotte Chemical Pakistan. The investment group has purchased over 75% of shares for $68 million, according to a company spokesperson.

The spokesperson stated that the company is focusing its investments where they are needed the most, and due to Pakistan's improving business and investment environment, economic activities are reaching new heights. The investment group has acquired 75.01% of Lotte Chemical Pakistan’s shares, with the total transaction valued at $68 million (approximately PKR 18.99 billion).

Lotte Chemical specializes in balancing global portfolios and commodity chemicals with premium-grade chemical production. Business operations in Pakistan are performing well, and AsiaPak Investment Group is contributing to strong operational businesses through strategic investments.

AsiaPak Investments is an experienced group in the chemical sector both in Pakistan and abroad. The acquisition of Lotte Chemical Pakistan provides a strong foundation for the company’s expansion into the chemical and coal chemicals sector. This move is expected to enhance investments in Thar coal, bringing further economic benefits.
