Pakistan’s celebrated tennis icon Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi has etched his name into history once again at the ATP Challenger Islamabad, this time alongside fellow Pakistani Muzammil Murtaza.
The duo became the first all-Pakistani team to reach the final of an ATP event, a breakthrough moment for the country’s tennis history.
The historic milestone was achieved after a dominant semi-final victory over the Turkish third seeds, who were beaten comfortably in straight sets, 6–1, 6–4.
Despite entering the tournament on a wild-card entry, the Pakistani pair displayed confidence, control, and class throughout the match.
What makes this achievement even more emotional is that the Islamabad final will be the last ATP match of Aisam-ul-Haq’s glittering professional career.
During his long journey in international tennis, he played 42 ATP World Tour finals and 30 Challenger finals, always with foreign partners until now.
