Recently, Abubakr gave an interview to renowned journalist Haroon Rasheed, who is also known for his British accent, to discuss his newfound viral status and the public's reaction to his portrayal.
Talking about becoming a viral sensation, Abubakar said, "My first scene went viral in which I inquired about my step mother, it wasn’t me who wanted to use those words like ‘My foot’, who uses such words. I just followed the script. I couldn’t change, although, I wanted to do it. I even told the director about it".
Talking about his accent, Abubakr said, "I grew up in England, so, I got this accent from the various parts of the UK which include Swansea, Cardiff, London, Glasgow and Manchester". Talking about criticism, he said, 'even if I was pretending to be a fake Britisher, why is it bothering you so much'.
