He said that if the weather gets unusually hot, the vacations could start even earlier than June 1. The main reason for this decision is to protect the health of students, parents, and teachers, since extreme heat can make it hard for children to focus on schoolwork.
Right now, the heatwave has eased, and rain is expected, so it's likely that the holidays will start on June 1 and last until August 15. If needed, the summer break could be extended further, but that decision will be made after checking the weather in August.
