The OIC Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation (COMSTECH) has launched a research fellowship program for students, scholars, and institutions in Mauritania. This initiative aims to enhance scientific capabilities and strengthen the relationship between Pakistan and Mauritania.
According to an official source, these research fellowships are part of a joint Science and Technology Capacity Building Program developed in collaboration with Mauritania's National Agency for Scientific Research and Innovation.
Under the COMSTECH-Mauritania Program, young researchers and early-career scientists from Mauritania will have the chance to spend six months at centers of excellence in OIC member states, especially in Pakistan. The fellowships are designed to bolster the research and development skills of Mauritanian scholars and encourage ongoing collaboration.
Additionally, Mauritanian students and scholars can take advantage of other initiatives provided by COMSTECH, which are regularly announced on the organization’s website and social media channels. Research and development institutions in Mauritania are also urged to partner with COMSTECH Center of Excellence institutions to facilitate knowledge sharing, technological progress, and capacity enhancement.
