KARACHI: Senior politician Illahi Bux Soomro passed away, here on Wednesday after short period of illness, family sources said. They said that the time of funeral prayer would be announced later.
Illahi Bux Soomro had been the 16th Speaker of National Assembly from 1997 to 2001 and also remained federal minister for many times. Soomro was born in Karachi on the 15th of May, 1926.
He had been associated with Pakistan Muslim League (PML) since very beginning from 1993 to 2024.
