The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has intensified its crackdown on illegal commercial buildings and those defaulting on commercialization fees in Lahore.
On Monday, LDA officials sealed over thirty buildings for unauthorized commercial use and non-payment of fees during enforcement operations in Faisal Town, Gulberg, Allama Iqbal Town, and Mustafa Town.
The sealed properties include the Qasim Ali Shah Foundation, Leads University Campus, The Educators, a private bank, an academy, a beauty salon, a clinic, grocery stores, and various other businesses.
LDA Chief Town Planner-I, Assad-uz-Zaman, oversaw the operations, which were conducted with police assistance. LDA officials stated that multiple notices had been issued to the owners of these buildings prior to the enforcement actions.
Director General of LDA, Tahir Farooq, has emphasized the need for ongoing strict measures against illegal commercial structures and fee defaulters in Lahore.
