RAWALPINDI: Air Vice Marshal Tariq Mahmood Ghazi said Pakistan established an “8-0 score” within minutes during “Marka-e-Haq,” claiming that eight Indian aircraft were shot down while India was still trying to understand what had happened.
Speaking at a joint press conference marking the completion of one year of “Marka-e-Haq” alongside DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, Tariq Mahmood Ghazi said the downed Indian aircraft included four Rafale jets, one SU-30, one MiG-29, and one Mirage 2000, along with a costly multi-role unmanned aerial system.
He further claimed that Pakistan achieved a decisive operational advantage during the confrontation, adding that the Pakistan Air Force remained fully alert and tracked all enemy activity throughout the engagement.
Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said the performance observed during “Marka-e-Haq” reflected only 10 to 15 percent of Pakistan’s overall military capability.
He added that Pakistan had defeated a much larger adversary in multi-domain warfare, stating that even Indian citizens were aware of the outcome, though they may not acknowledge it.
The DG ISPR also accused India of promoting a false narrative regarding terrorism, claiming that India itself is involved in such activities and alleging human rights violations in Kashmir and Manipur.
He further said that questions raised by Pakistan regarding the Pahalgam incident remain unanswered even after one year, asking what kind of intelligence failure allowed alleged attackers to move deep inside territory and why no concrete evidence has been presented regarding the incident.
Deputy Chief of Naval Staff Rear Admiral Shafaat Ali Khan said India had long projected its naval capabilities, but despite being fully equipped, it did not demonstrate aggression.
He stated that attempts to deploy naval formations were monitored and effectively contained, while Pakistan’s coastal installations and ports remained secure and fully operational. He emphasized that Pakistan seeks peace but will not compromise on its sovereignty under any circumstances.
