Weather observers have forecasted clear and dry conditions across most areas of the country on Election Day, February 8.
According to analysts, there is no likelihood of substantial rainfall on the election day, although there are chances of light rain in western parts of Sindh and Balochistan on February 7, the day before the election.
Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz said that any rain system would dissipate within 24 hours after light to moderate rainfall in some parts of Punjab and Balochistan. He predicted dry weather in most parts of the country on the actual election day.

This forecast comes in the wake of heavy rainfall in Karachi for the second consecutive day, causing flooding in various parts of the port city. Areas such as North Karachi, Superhighway, Bufferzone, Nagan Chowrangi, and others experienced heavy to moderate rains.
The Meteorological Department reported the presence of nimbus clouds in central and northern areas of Karachi, bringing intermittent rains. The city witnessed such substantial rainfall in February after a gap of 40 years.
The heavy rainfall resulted in prolonged power outages in several areas, and rainwater mixed with sewage overflowed from choked lines, entering homes and hospitals in Karachi.
