The price of eggs per dozen increased again on Saturday, August 17, in Lahore, the capital city of Punjab, while the cost of chicken meat remained stable.
According to the DC Rate List, the price per dozen rose by Rs3, reaching Rs293 in the provincial capital. Meanwhile, the price of chicken meat per kilogram remains steady at Rs591.
The wholesale price for live chicken has been set at Rs394 per kg, with the retail price at Rs408 per kg.
Egg prices have been consistently rising each day, with the government appearing unable to stabilize the costs.
