Istanbul: The 'Chughtai Art Awards 2025' ceremony was successfully held in Istanbul, celebrating the theme "Pakistan-Turkey: Two States, One Nation." The event brought together students, dignitaries, and art lovers from both countries, highlighting the deep-rooted cultural and historical ties shared between Pakistan and Turkey.
Organized annually by the Embassy of Pakistan in different cities across Turkey, the awards aim to promote fine arts and foster cultural harmony among the youth of both nations through creative expression.
This year’s ceremony witnessed an impressive gathering, including Pakistan’s Ambassador to Turkey, Dr. Yousaf Junaid, Deputy Governor of Istanbul Mehmet Salun, Deputy Mayor of Fatih Hasan Durahat, Provincial Director of Education Dr. Murat Mücahit Yentür, along with officials from the Turkish Ministry of Education, teachers, students, and members of the media.
During the awards presentation, Elif Zühela Atayşin won first prize, followed by Zeynep Akın in second place and İlde Yıldan in third. Additionally, three other female students were recognized with honorary certificates for their exceptional artistic efforts.
Speaking at the event, Ambassador Dr. Yousaf Junaid emphasized the importance of cultural collaboration:
“Pakistan and Turkey share centuries-old cultural and fraternal ties. Art is a powerful medium to bring hearts closer, especially among our youth.”
Deputy Governor Mehmet Salun echoed similar sentiments, stating:
“This platform not only showcases talent but also strengthens the people-to-people bond between our two nations. We are proud of our shared heritage.”
The Chughtai Art Awards continue to serve as a bridge of friendship and creativity between the two countries, encouraging young artists to celebrate unity through art.
