Iran has devised a strategy to counter any potential Israeli strike after launching a retaliatory missile attack last week.
According to source, “The response plan to any possible action by the Zionist regime (Israel) has been fully formulated.”
On Tuesday, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) fired approximately 200 missiles at Israel, in retaliation for the killing of leaders of Tehran-aligned groups in recent attacks.
“If Israel takes action, there will be no doubt that an Iranian counterattack will be carried out.”
Tuesday’s missile barrage, Iran’s second-ever direct attack on Israel, came after an Israeli air raid killed Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah and IRGC top general Abbas Nilforoushan in Beirut.
The attack also came in response to the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh on July 31 in Tehran, an act widely attributed to Israel.
On Saturday, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned that Iran would deliver a "proportional and even stronger" response if Israel launched any strikes.
Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad visited a crucial Gulf oil facility on Sunday, amid rising concerns over potential Israeli attacks on Iran’s oil infrastructure.
US President Joe Biden, on Friday, cautioned Israel against targeting Iran’s oil sites, given its status as one of the world’s top 10 oil producers.
