Hezbollah launched rockets at Haifa, Israel's third-largest city, early on Monday, coinciding with the first anniversary of the Gaza war.
The conflict has spread tensions throughout the Middle East, and there are fears that it could escalate further, involving the United States and Iran.
Hezbollah, which is backed by Iran and allied with Hamas, claimed it targeted a military base south of Haifa using "Fadi 1" missiles.
They also attacked Tiberias, located about 65 km (40 miles) away. Israeli police confirmed that rockets hit Haifa, injuring around 10 people, while the military reported that five rockets were fired from Lebanon.
In addition to the rockets, Israel intercepted two drones launched from the east. These incidents came on the anniversary of a surprise attack by Hamas that began the ongoing conflict in Gaza. Hamas also targeted Tel Aviv with missiles, triggering sirens in central Israel.
Despite previous security failures, many Israelis feel more confident in their military capabilities after recent successful operations against Hezbollah in Lebanon.
Israeli airstrikes have been intensifying, especially in southern Beirut, where Hezbollah is believed to store weapons.
The bombings have displaced 1.2 million people in Lebanon, raising fears that the country could face similar destruction as seen in Gaza.
A displaced Lebanese man, Mohammed Kanso, expressed despair over the situation, saying he has been living on the streets for ten days due to Israeli military actions and cannot afford medicine for himself or his son.
