Pakistani social media content creator Sharoz Pashtun has moved from labour work and taxi driving to online content creation and brand collaborations after relocating to the United Arab Emirates in search of employment.

Originally from Buner, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sharoz moved to the UAE in 2016. Born on April 5, 1998, he spent around two to three years working as a labourer before becoming a taxi driver in Dubai.

Alongside his regular job, he began producing videos for social media. What started as an activity in his spare time gradually developed into a professional pursuit as his content began attracting wider attention in 2022.

Sharoz is active on TikTok, Instagram and Facebook, where he shares videos with audiences in Pakistan, the UAE and other countries.

His TikTok account has more than 1.2 million followers, while his Instagram account has approximately 74,000 followers. His Facebook page has also attracted more than 450,000 followers.

These platforms provide him with opportunities to connect with viewers, share content and develop his presence in the digital media landscape.

Brand collaborations have become an important part of Sharoz's professional activities. He works with businesses to promote products and services through social media content, helping companies reach audiences who follow his accounts.

Such partnerships also provide opportunities to work with brands operating in the UAE and other markets. His promotional work runs alongside the videos he creates for his own audience.

As businesses increasingly use social media to communicate with potential customers, creators with established online audiences can offer brands another channel for product promotion and audience engagement.

Sharoz's career path began with a search for employment rather than a planned move into the media industry. After several years of working outside the field, he began exploring social media content creation while continuing his job as a taxi driver.

The growing response to his videos in 2022 encouraged him to devote more attention to the activity and pursue professional opportunities in the digital space.

Now based in Dubai, Sharoz focuses on producing online videos and collaborating with brands through TikTok, Instagram and Facebook.

His journey from labour work and taxi driving to social media content creation highlights how online platforms can provide alternative professional opportunities for people living and working abroad.
