ISLAMABAD: Central leaders of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf (PTI) are determined to hold a public gathering in Tarmol, Islamabad tomorrow (Aug 22) despite the Islamabad administration once again revoked the No Objection Certificate (NOC) for rally.
PTI Secretary General and Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Umar Ayub Khan condemned the cancellation of the NOC for the party meeting by the administration and said that the public rally must be held as per schedule.
He observed that the order of the Chief Commissioner of Islamabad is the contempt of the court as the administration disobeyed the Islamabad High Court (IHC) order.
As per the instruction of PTI founder Imran Khan, the public gathering would be presided over by Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, he said.
He maintained that the rally would be peaceful, adding that it would be for upcoming generations and Pakistan's future.
Reacting to the revocation of the rally, PTI senior leader and former National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser said that they must at every cost hold the public gathering, which would be completely peaceful as their struggle and movement have always remained nonviolent.
Controversial PTI leader and Member of National Assembly (MNA) Sher Afzal Marwat said that the administration adopted violent attitude, they would not bow down and hold the public gathering.
He also appealed the people that they must come to this public meeting tomorrow and they did not need to fear from the administration and government.
