The National Database Registration Authority (Nadra) issues the Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) to eligible citizens of Pakistan.
The ID card integrates advanced technology and strict business rules to ensure its authenticity and validity. Every Pakistani citizen aged 18 and above is eligible for a CNIC. The card includes details such as date of birth, name, father's name, address, and other information, all of which are provided by the applicant.
However, if the applicants want to modify the details including change in date of birth, they can visit any nearby Nadra office for modification along with relevant documents.

Applicants wishing to modify the date of birth on their ID card must present the necessary documents to verify their original date of birth. They need to provide a matriculation certificate, birth certificate, or domicile to accurately prove their date of birth.
Nadra Fee for Age Alteration on Smart ID Card
The authority offers three categories – normal, urgent and executive – for modification in national identity cards. It receives Rs750 in normal category, Rs1,500 in urgent and Rs2,500 for executive category for any modification on ID card.
Nadra can discard the application for alteration if it is not fulfilled with the details provided by the candidate.
