KARACHI: The Khairpur Special Economic Zone (KSEZ) has been ranked among the Top Industrial Zones in the Asia-Pacific Region, a major international recognition for Sindh and Pakistan, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah announced.
The Chief Minister said the FT Global Free Zones of the Year 2025 recognition brings pride to both the province and the country.
“This global recognition marks a key milestone in Sindh’s industrial journey and reflects our vision for sustainable growth and inclusive development,” he said.
Murad Ali Shah added that the success of Khairpur SEZ shows the Sindh government’s forward-looking industrial policies, which aim to create jobs, increase exports, and attract investment. He noted that Sindh is becoming a driving force in Pakistan’s industrial progress by promoting value-added manufacturing and regional trade to support long-term employment growth.
Situated along National Highway N-5, about five hours from Karachi, Khairpur SEZ connects directly to Pakistan’s main ports and markets. With its modern infrastructure, steady utilities, and investor-friendly environment, it is fast emerging as one of South Asia’s most promising industrial hubs.
The Financial Times’ recognition is expected to boost investor confidence and further strengthen Sindh’s reputation as a prime destination for industrial investment and export growth.
