MUZAFFARABAD: Father of Sub-Inspector Adnan Shaheed, who was martyred in the line of duty during the recent violent protests in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, said, "I am very sad as a father, but I am proud that my son was martyred. I had dedicated my son to the service of the country and the nation, thousands of youths like my child are ready to fight the enemies of the country, we are not afraid of death, I believe that death is to come.”
He maintained that the whole family is proud of his martyrdom and his family expressed their determination to sacrifice for the survival of the beloved country as Adnan martyred himself against the attacks of miscreants and for the sake of peace.
The Father of the martyr said that his son destroyed the ambitions of the evil-doers, the aim of these anarchic groups was to spread chaos in the country, by the grace of Allah, hundreds of Adnans are ready to protect the beloved country.
On this sad incident, SSP Mirpur, Kamran Ali expressed his views and said that the miscreants tried to destroy the peace of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, their very valuable officer has lost his life.
SSP Mir Po said that the involved elements would not be spared in any case, adding that the miscreants had blocked the road but their Jawans pulled out the injured during the demonstrations and he salute them for their bravery.
He further said that during firing and stone pelting, Adnan Shaheed got injured and he was removed from there and shifted him to the ambulance but the way was blocked, lamenting what kind of protest it was.
On the other hand, SHO Thothal Wajahat Kazmi said that when Adnan Shaheed was shot at, his blood was flowing rapidly and he still had a smile on his face.
He said that the purpose of these evil elements was not to protest but to destroy the peace of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
