Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz said that Arshad Nadeem has given a gift to the nation by winning the gold medal on the Independence Day. Governor Punjab Sardar Salim Hyder Khan also announced to give him two million rupees.

Earlier, Sindh government had announced 50 million rupees for the Pride of Pakistan. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also watched Javelin Thrower Arshad Nadeem's competition on TV and expressed his great pleasure on the victory of Arshad.
