Saifullah's first wife passed away seven years ago, after which he expressed his desire for a second marriage.
Respecting his wish, his sons came together to organize the ceremony and support their father's decision. Seeing a suitable match for their father, the sons got him married to a 55-year-old woman for one tola of dowry.
The wedding ceremony was attended by a large number of relatives, family members, grandchildren and friends.
According to local residents, the son's move to fulfill his father's long-held desire to remarry was exemplary, with many calling it a positive step towards changing the social mindset towards remarriage of elders, which is often seen as unconventional.
