TEHRAN: Iran has reportedly launched a series of missile strikes against Israel, confirmed by Israeli military.
The Israeli defence forces confirmed that missiles were fired from Iran towards Israeli territory, prompting an active response from their missile defence systems. The multiple explosions have been reported in Tel Aviv, with sirens warning residents of imminent danger.
Foreign news agencies also report that, the missile attacks targeted Israeli-occupied territories, including the major cities of Tel Aviv and Haifa. In which the Haifa refinery's production has totally been halted.
According to the Iranian media reports, in the recent attacks, more than 20 Israeli missiles fired at the Iranian city of Shiraz were shot down by air defensc systems.
Earlier, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi emphasized Iran’s unwavering stance on diplomacy, asserting that the country has never abandoned the negotiating table, despite escalating regional tensions.
Speaking with three European counterparts, Araghchi clarified that Iran did not initiate recent hostilities and remains committed to peaceful resolution efforts.
In a statement on Iranian television, Araghchi condemned the recent Israeli missile strikes on TV channel, describing them as a reflection of Israel’s recklessness.
He reiterated Iran’s focus on responding to Israeli aggression rather than seeking conflict, underscoring Iran’s desire to prioritize diplomacy even amid ongoing regional confrontations.
