The release of one of the grandest events in film and television history is just around the corner. In the meantime, "Dune: Prophecy" stars Olivia Williams and Emily Watson recently discussed how their HBO series stands out compared to the hit historical series "Game of Thrones".

While many eagerly await the prequel entry of "Dune", some have compared it to George R. R. Martin’s series. Both shows share themes of complicated alliances, struggles for power, and betrayal. However, Williams and Watson provided the perfect response, explaining why *Dune: Prophecy* is a "unique" series in its own right.

Speaking to Comic Book, Watson explained, "I think a difference in this is that the main protagonists are women."

She added that the series covers "the whole spectrum," highlighting that, while it involves many characters, it primarily focuses on the sisterhood.

The “Small Things Like These” actress also noted that the focus on sisterhood makes HBO’s “Dune: Prophecy “unique and interesting.”

Watson emphasized that she isn’t promoting the series or the women in it "as feminist icons."

Meanwhile, Williams recalled meeting her co-star Emily, saying, "Emily and I met on the steps of the National Gallery in London."

She described how both she and Emily admired Tudor portraits of Elizabeth I, as well as the "offspring and cousins of Henry VIII."

In this series, Olivia Williams and Emily Watson portray Tula Harkonnen and Valya Harkonnen, respectively. The “Dune” series also stars Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Shalom Brune-Franklin, Faoileann Cunningham, Aoife Hinds, and Chloe Lea.

Additionally, Mark Strong joins the cast alongside Jade Anouka and Chris Mason.

“Dune: Prophecy” follows sisters Valya and Tula Harkonnen as they battle powerful forces and form the revered Bene Gesserit. “Dune: Prophecy” will premiere on HBO on November 17.
