Redmi, Xiaomi's sub-brand, has launched its latest smartwatch, the Redmi Watch 5, in China. Packed with advanced features, the new wearable is designed to enhance user convenience and performance.
Features of Redmi Watch 5
The Redmi Watch 5 features a 2.07-inch AMOLED 2.5D display with a resolution of 432x514 pixels, a peak brightness of 1,500 nits, and a 60Hz refresh rate. Its premium design includes an aluminium frame and a metal dial. Powered by Xiaomi's HyperOS 2 interface, the smartwatch delivers a seamless user experience.Notably, the Watch 5 is available in an eSIM version, enabling users to make calls and send messages via supported platforms. The wearable supports over 150 sports modes, including walking, running, and skating. Additionally, users can choose from over 200 watch faces and benefit from a linear motor offering 20+ vibration modes.
For health tracking, the Redmi Watch 5 includes an analog front-end (AFE) chip paired with Xiaomi's algorithm to provide heart rate and sleep monitoring. Its 550mAh battery promises up to 24 days of normal use. The device is compatible with Android 8.0 and later or iOS 12.0 and above.
