Zimbabwe cricket team captain Sikandar Raza, who was born in Pakistan, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the country as the team wrapped up their tour and headed home.

Posting on social media platform X, Raza thanked the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the people of Pakistan for their warm welcome and hospitality. He added, “We can, InshaAllah, come back once more.”

The Zimbabwe team came to Pakistan to take part in a tri-nation series together with Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Originally, Afghanistan was also scheduled to play in the series. But, because of political tensions and pressure from India, the Afghanistan Cricket Board withdrew from the tournament.

After Afghanistan’s withdrawal, the PCB quickly reached out to Zimbabwe, inviting them to join the series. The Zimbabwe Cricket Board accepted the offer immediately and managed all the tour arrangements in a very short time.

The series was a successful visit, and Raza’s message displays the positive experience the team had during their stay in Pakistan.
