Humaira Asghar, an actress and model, was found dead in her Karachi flat, with her body reportedly lying there for nine months. The shocking discovery quickly made headlines and sparked widespread curiosity and horror. As the public demanded answers, early reports claimed that her parents had refused to claim her body. However, her parents have now come forward and spoken to the media.
Humaira’s father, Dr. Asghar, and her mother spoke to Lahore Rang and shared their side of the story. Dr. Asghar revealed that Humaira had always been passionate about art. She attended NCA and later pursued a career in showbiz. Seven years ago, she moved to Karachi to follow her dreams, with his full support. Her mother recalled feeling anxious whenever she couldn’t reach her daughter.

Her mother shared that she last spoke to Humaira in August last year. During that call, Humaira mentioned that her SIM cards were being blocked and said she needed help, though she didn’t clarify what kind. After that conversation, her parents lost all contact with her. They explained that Humaira used to visit every two months and maintained a good relationship with them.
The family didn’t check up on Humaira because they didn’t know anyone in Karachi. Her father, Dr. Asghar, clarified that he never refused to claim her body. As a doctor, he knew he couldn’t take the body without a post-mortem examination. He expressed suspicion of foul play in her death. He also stated that Humaira never demanded her share in the property, adding firmly that she could never say “aisi kameeni baat” to ask for it.
