- Aagha Ali, a self-made star from a showbiz background, has achieved success in Pakistan's highest-rated dramas.
- He emphasizes the importance of tasteful and norm-compliant message delivery.
- He has faced criticism for respecting co-stars' boundaries and directing scenes that do not align with their life partners' wishes.
Speaking at a podcast, Aagha discussed how vulgarity is never needed to convey a message to the audience. He emphasized that messages can always be delivered tastefully and within norms, no matter how gritty they may be. Aagha also provided examples of how Pakistani dramas have consistently respected boundaries.
Aagha also said that “there are times when the actress’s life partners do not want them to do any touchy-feely scenes. And Agha has put his foot down and told the director to change how the scenes will be filmed as he has always respected his co-stars and their boundaries.”
He also revealed that “a large part of the industry never accepted him. They have never acknowledged him; his projects will not get recognized while they are a hit and on the top. He added that he still accepts those people as our industry is already so small.”
Aagha also discussed how the standard of our award shows is poor. He mentioned the lack of choreographed dances or good presentations and highlighted issues with the awards criteria. According to him, people often criticize the performances as being the worst. He expressed a hope for improvement in all of these aspects someday.
