Former U.S. President Donald Trump has said he is unsure of what is currently happening in Gaza, despite having provided $60 million in aid for food delivery to the region. Speaking after a meeting with the President of the European Commission, Trump stated that he wants to speak directly with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to discuss humanitarian aid logistics.
He expressed frustration that no one thanked him for the aid and accused Hamas of stealing and selling donated goods. Trump also mentioned that the United States is ready to take further steps to assist Gaza but emphasized that Israel must ultimately decide its course of action regarding the region.
During the same conversation, Trump reiterated his earlier claim that he prevented a major war between Pakistan and India during his presidency. He said if a trade deal with the European Union is finalized, it would be mutually beneficial, highlighting that both sides are aiming for fair trade.
The former president also commented on Iran, criticizing its aggressive tone and stating, "We don’t want Iran to have a nuclear bomb." He added that Iran has suffered significant consequences due to its actions.
On the China front, Trump revealed that a trade agreement is near, with a final decision on tariffs expected by August 1. He noted this could be a good opportunity to resolve long-standing tariff issues with Europe.
Meanwhile, the President of the European Commission said she had been eagerly awaiting this meeting with Trump, expressing optimism that if successful, it could result in one of the biggest trade deals ever made.
