KARACHI: The traffic police have announced that Shahrae Faisal and Stadium Road will be closed to general traffic from 1:00 AM to 4:00 AM on Monday (tomorrow).
Commuters are advised to plan alternate routes, as traffic from the airport will not be permitted to access Karsaz or Stadium Road.
Travelers with flights are encouraged to use Shaheed-e-Millat Road, Hasan Square, Rashid Minhas Road, or Drigh Road to reach the airport. Additionally, vehicles from FTC and Nursery will be restricted from proceeding toward the airport, and traffic will also be diverted away from Sir Shah Suleman Road and Stadium routes during this period. Commuters should stay updated with traffic advisories to avoid disruptions.
This traffic update coincides with the upcoming International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS) 2024, scheduled from November 19 to 22 at the Karachi Expo Centre.
The Pakistan government considers IDEAS a highly significant event, as it attracts numerous international delegates and facilitates the growth of Pakistan’s arms industry.
Initiated in 2000, IDEAS was designed to showcase Pakistan’s domestic arms production and provide a platform for international vendors to meet the needs of Pakistan's military services.
The inaugural event, held at the Karachi Expo Centre, drew 45 delegations from foreign countries.
