Another setback for the masses facing with inflation as the prices of petrol and diesel in Pakistan are set to rise starting April 16, 2024.
This increase follows a constant rise in worldwide oil prices and the government's decision to raise taxes on petroleum products.
Sources familiar with the condition designated that citizens will bear the impact of this change, facing another blow as petrol prices are expected to increase by more than Rs 9 per litre.
According to details, petrol prices could rise by up to Rs 8 per litre, representing a substantial jump from the current price of Rs 289.40 per litre to an expected Rs 298 per litre.
Additionally, diesel prices are also expected to increase, with an estimated rise of almost Rs 2 per litre. This change would push the diesel rate to around Rs 284.24 per litre, up from its current level of Rs 282 per litre.
