Former Prime Minister and PML-N President Nawaz Sharif reaffirmed his party’s commitment to Pakistan’s prosperity, stating that uplifting the nation to the ranks of developed countries is PML-N’s key agenda.
During a meeting with party leaders from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Nawaz Sharif described the province as the "heart of Pakistan" and highlighted how political instability often hinders the country’s progress.
He acknowledged the sacrifices of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in both the Pakistan Movement and the fight against terrorism, emphasizing that PML-N remains focused on institutional and systemic reforms for national development.
Nawaz Sharif asserted that his party is determined to steer Pakistan out of political turmoil. He claimed that under PML-N’s leadership, the country’s decline has been halted and that Pakistan is now on the path to economic and social progress.
Meanwhile, in Islamabad, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expanded his federal cabinet by inducting 27 new members, including representatives from allied parties. The oath-taking ceremony, held at the President House, was administered by President Asif Ali Zardari, with the Prime Minister in attendance.
The cabinet now consists of 46 members, including 13 federal ministers, 11 state ministers, and three advisers. Among the newly appointed federal ministers are Hanif Abbasi, Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Moin Watto, Mustafa Kamal, Sardar Yusuf, and several others. The state ministers include Barrister Aqeel Malik, Talal Chaudhry, Rehman Kanju, and others, while the advisers appointed are Muhammad Ali, Tauqir Shah, and Pervez Khattak.
This cabinet expansion marks a significant step in the government’s strategy as it continues efforts to address political and economic challenges in the country.
