Widespread monsoon rains are predicted in Pakistan from August 01 to august 06 with occasional gaps.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), strong monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal will likely penetrate upper parts of Pakistan from July 31 (night). They will likely affect central and southern parts from August 02.
Under the influence of this weather system, widespread rains are likely across Pakistan from August 01 to August 06.
Kashmir: Rain wind/thundershowers with few heavy falls are expected in Kashmir (Neelum Valley, Muzaffarabad, Rawalakot, Poonch, Hattian, Bagh, Haveli, Sudhanoti, Kotli, Bhimber and Mirpur) from July 31 (night) to August 06 with occasional gaps.
Punjab/Islamabad: From August 1 to August 6, rain with wind and thundershowers, including scattered heavy and isolated very heavy downpours, is expected in Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Murree, Galliyat, Attock, Chakwal, Talagang, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Wazirabad, Sahiwal, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Nankana Sahib, Chiniot, Faisalabad, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Narowal, Okara, Pakpattan, Kasur, Khushab, Sargodha, Bhakkar, and Mianwali, with occasional breaks in between.
Rain-wind/thundershowers with few heavy falls are expected in Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, Khanewal, Lohdran, Muzaffargarh, Kot Addu, Rajanpur, Rahimyar Khan and Layyah from August 02 to August 06 with occasional gaps.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa:
From the evening of August 1 to August 6, rain accompanied by wind and thundershowers, with scattered heavy and isolated very heavy rainfall, is anticipated in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Malakand, Shangla, Battagram, Buner, Kohat, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Peshawar, Swabi, Nowshera, Mardan, Charsadda, Hangu, Kurram, Orakzai, Waziristan, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, and Dera Ismail Khan, with occasional breaks in the weather.
Balochistan: Rain-wind/thundershowers with few heavy falls are expected in Khuzdar, Lasbella, Awaran, Panjgur, Ketch, Kalat, Quetta, Ziarat, Zhob, Qila Abdullah, Qila Saifullah, Barkhan, Musa Khel, Mastung, Sibbi, Shirani, Kohlu, Bolan, Harnai, Naseerabad, Jaffarabad and Makran coast from August 02 (evening/night) to August 06 with occasional gaps.
Sindh:
From the night of August 2 to August 6, rain with wind and thundershowers, including scattered heavy and isolated very heavy downpours, is expected in Mithi, Sanghar, Mitayari, Naushero Feroze, Jamshoro, Umarkot, Tharparkar, Mirpur Khas, Khairpur, Thatta, Badin, Chhor, Padidan, Sajawal, Karachi, Hyderabad, Tando Allayar, Tando Muhammad Khan, Shaheed Benazirabad, Sukkur, Larkana, Jacobabad, and Dadu, with occasional breaks in between.
Gilgit-Baltistan: Mainly partly cloudy to cloudy weather conditions at time are expected in Gilgit-Baltistan. However, rainfall activity is also expected in Diamir, Astore, Skardu, Gilgit, Ghanche and Shigar from August 03 (evening/night) to August 06 with occasional gaps.

From August 2 to August 5, torrential rains could cause flash flooding in local nullahs and streams in Murree, Galliyat, Mansehra, Kohistan, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Buner, Bannu, Kurrum, Waziristan, Dera Ismail Khan, Orakzai, Khyber, Mohmand, Nowshera, Swabi, Islamabad/Rawalpindi, and northeast Punjab, as well as hill torrents in Dera Ghazi Khan and Kashmir. Flash floods are also possible from August 3 to August 5 in Kalat, Khuzdar, Barkhan, Lasbella, Zhob, Loralai, Sibbi, Harnai, Awaran, Kohlu, Dera Bugti, Jhal Magsi, Naseerabad, Musa Khel, and Jaffarabad.Heavy rainfall may lead to urban flooding in low-lying areas of Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Kasur, Sialkot, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Multan, Sahiwal, Nowshera, and Peshawar from August 2 to August 5. Urban flooding is also possible in low-lying areas of Sindh on August 4 and August 5. Additionally, landslides may impact traffic in vulnerable hilly areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Murree, Galliyat, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan during this period.
Heavy rain, windstorms, and lightning could disrupt daily routines and damage weak structures such as electric poles, billboards, and solar panels.
