The Chairman of the Karachi Intermediate Education Board has set up an inquiry committee to address student concerns over the recently announced exam results.
As per reports, Syed Sharaf Ali Shah, the newly appointed interim Chairman, assumed office yesterday. During a meeting with the Secretary of the Universities and Boards Department, the decision to form the committee was made to ensure students' concerns are resolved.
The inquiry committee aims to review the results, guarantee transparency, and resolve complaints within a month. Chairman Shah emphasized that students are the future, and every effort will be made to address their grievances.
The committee will operate impartially, encouraging students and parents to submit their concerns and suggestions to the Inter Board for resolution.
Previously, Board Chairman Ameer Qadri was removed from his position following controversies over the exam results. A notification revealed that Qadri had been dismissed with Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah’s approval due to an unauthorized foreign trip. Meanwhile, Chairman of the Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK), Sharf Ali, has been assigned the additional role temporarily.
It is noteworthy that a significant number of students from the pre-engineering and pre-medical groups failed their intermediate exams, prompting many to submit scrutiny forms at the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) in large numbers.
