Intermittent monsoon rains with a few heavy showers are expected in Islamabad and different parts of Pakistan on Monday night and over the next two days.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said that moist winds from the Arabian Sea are entering the country, while a westerly wave will reach the upper areas tonight.
Because of this, monsoon rains with some heavy falls are likely in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, upper Punjab, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan from Monday night for the following two days.
In Islamabad, the maximum temperature is expected to stay around 36°C on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. In Rawalpindi, the maximum temperature will likely remain between 34°C and 36°C on the same days.
During the past 24 hours, most parts of Pakistan experienced hot and humid weather, though rain did fall in a few places in Kashmir.

Dalbandin remained the hottest place in Pakistan, where the maximum temperature was recorded at 42°C. The maximum temperature in Nokkundi and Sibi was recorded at 41°C.
In Islamabad, the maximum temperature was recorded at 37°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 51 per cent.
In Rawalpindi, the maximum temperature was recorded at 35°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 50 per cent.
