Heat wave will expected to continue in parts of Sindh on Tuesday with 06 to 08°C above normal day temperatures. Gusty-winds are likely in the afternoon which will provide some release to the heat-stricken publics.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), interior air conquers over most parts of Pakistan. High pressure overcomes in the upper atmosphere, which will likely persist during next two days. A shallow westerly wave will likely affect upper parts of the country from May 28 (evening/night).
Under these situations, heat waves will expected to persist in most parts of Sindh on Tuesday with 06 to 08°C above normal day temperatures in southern districts. Hot and moist weather is likely in Karachi and other coastal areas. Gusty/dust-raising winds are likely in Karachi, Thatta, Badin and Hyderabad during afternoon which will provide some break to the people from the usual harsh weather conditions.
Karachi’s maximum temperatures will likely stay between 35-37°C on Tuesday and 34-36°C on Wednesday.
Hyderabad’s maximum temperatures will likely stay between 45-47°C on Monday and 46-48°C on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, heatwaves conquered in parts of Sindh during the last 24 hours. Mohenjo-Daro and Nawabshah remained the hottest places in the province where the maximum temperature was recorded at 52°C. Maximum temperature in Dadu and Jacobabad was recorded at 51°C, Khairpur, Larkana, Rohri, and Sukkur at 50°C and Padidan at 49°C.
In Karachi, the maximum temperature was recorded at 36°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 75 percent.
In Hyderabad, the maximum temperature was recorded at 44°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 62 percent.
