Pak-Turkiye Foreign Ministers hold telephonic conversation

Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, held a telephonic conversation with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan late last night. The two leaders discussed bilateral cooperation as well as key regional and global issues.

During the call, both ministers expressed deep concern over the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Deputy Prime Minister Dar strongly condemned Israel’s reported plans to impose full military control over Gaza, calling it a blatant violation of international law and United Nations Security Council resolutions.

According to Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the conversation focused on the urgent need for uninterrupted humanitarian assistance to the people of Gaza. Foreign Minister Fidan also stressed the importance of ending the continued impunity of Israeli actions.

The two countries reaffirmed their commitment to staying in close contact regarding the situation in Gaza and called upon the international community to take immediate steps to address the crisis.
