The repair project is estimated to cost Rs. 625 million, with additional expenses covered by the Punjab Masstransit Authority, which has allocated Rs. 740 million for this purpose.
After the elevated track repairs from Saddar to Faizabad, the next phase will involve repairing the metro track from Faizabad to the Pakistan Secretariat in Islamabad.
An official from the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) mentioned that the bidding will occur next week, with project work beginning later in the month and anticipated to last just 10 days.
Nespak recommended repairing the track after conducting a survey, as stated by the official. The Punjab Mass Transit Authority has assigned the repair work to the RDA.
The authority completed the Twin Cities metro bus project in 2015, and the provincial government will fund the repair work.
Punjab Mass Transit Authority General Manager (Operations) Uzair Shah attributed the track damage to heavy rains over the past few years during a discussion with a national daily.
He mentioned that there's a plan to replace the tough tiles on the pavements with concrete ones. Additionally, repairs will be made to the potholes in the corridors of the bus stations.

The metro bus service will continue without interruption during the track repair work. The metro bus corridor covers 23 kilometers and consists of multiple sections.

- 4 kilometers in a trench.
